History of the house
In the lower Aosta Valley, at an altitude of about 700 metres, lies the village of Perloz, nestled in an authentic setting, far from cities and industrial activity. In the oldest part of the village, near Charles Castle, stands the “house” dating back to 1600.
Once the “doctor’s house”, inhabited for centuries by the villagers and their animals in the stables below, it came into our possession in the early 2000s and was lovingly renovated under the guidance of our architect friends and with the support of skilled craftsmen.

The village of Perloz and its surroundings
Perloz is a small mountain village located at an altitude of 660 metres, at the entrance to the Lys Valley. Its sunny location and surrounding landscape, characterised by chestnut woods, make it particularly charming. In the village centre there are two historic residences that belonged to the noble Vallaise family (Vallaise Castle and Charles Castle).
Perloz – Lovevda
Numerous trails start from Perloz, suitable for easy walks, ideal for discovering nearby villages and natural and architectural beauty spots. For more experienced hikers, there are medium-difficulty routes to scenic destinations such as Col Fenêtre (1,670 m), Mont Crabun (2,710 m), Croix Varfei (1,638 m) and Croix Corma (1,958 m).

Sustainability
In renovating the building and in our day-to-day management, we maintain our focus on environmental sustainability and respect for the place where we are located.
This is evident in the selection of products we use in the kitchen, in inviting you to take home any food and wine you are unable to finish, in the attention we pay to the techniques and materials used to renovate the premises, in our preference for recyclable products and in avoiding the use of plastic.
Garden and aromatic plants
The garden that runs alongside the building provides access to the first floor of the house and is a place to relax, enjoy the sun and the view of the mountains.
Bordered by a stream and with a natural water source, among the lush greenery and flowers, you will find a few fruit trees, two olive trees symbolising our homeland, an ancient wild rose that has tenaciously survived, numerous aromatic plants that we use to enrich our dishes, and berries for our jams.
